Here is a good one:

At the result of a dispute, a fight broke up between a poor guy and a
rich guy. Unfortunately, the poor guy won. Later, the rich guy came
back with some friends and money. They urged the poor guy to come out
of his house and beat him up till he passed out.

They then went to the Naiban and admitted that they have caused
serious body injury to that poor guy. They begged for pardon and asked
to pay the maximum fine.

-The NaiBan simply said: "At the BAN level, there is no jail, the max
tine is a pig to call the soul of the victim a 2 bottles of lao
nasou".

-They say: "That's ok, we'll pay for it" and they laughed all the way
home.

Total cause was $200.00 equal to 2 million kips at that time.
