That's the generally the problem with people with guns, isn't it? Whether it is the police or gun militia wackos, it's always a resorting to the gun.
Okay, so there are dozen or so teenagers creating chaos in a neighborhood swimming pool.
Why the hell would half a dozen police officers have this need to feel like they have to run around, falling on their asses like this short guy did ,,, screaming and threatening virtually every teenage there, especially the Black ones (with some fat White guy walking back and forth NEXT TO THE OFFICERS, without being told to sit his fat ass down on the grasses, too, or at least get the fuck away from them), in order for them to ease the situation.
Wouldn't a more efficient, more professional way to calm everyone down, was to approach the pool party, where there's a bit of chaos, with a sense of complete calm, complete control, walking with confidence and authority, to the group and, with calming but authoritative voice:
"Okay, folks, we request that everyone stay where they are for a few moments. We NEED YOU FOLKS to help us sort out the mess here, but first, you need to calm down and stand where you are nicely for a moments.
"Just for a few moments.
"But as you can see, we came in enough number here among us officers here, that if anyone should make sudden move, or try running away, or try approaching us, we WILL have to take some actions and they may not be what you'd like. We respect everyone here, but since we don't know what's going on, you must help us by being calm and helpful. Thank you."
And THEN WALK CONFIDENTLY into the crowd and ask what's going on.
This was NOT a giant crowd of 100 or 2,000 with guns and other weapons on the hands of the rowdy boys who crashed the pool party. This was just a chaotic scene, where some unknown Black teenagers crashed the neighborhood pool party.
If there are 3-6 of you police officers and you can't calmly handled a dozen or two teenage kids, NOT ALL OF WHOM were creating chaos, they you have no business being a police officer. Or you need more professional training...
You just don't pull a gun out like that, to threaten someone, because of the chaos, with teenagers running every which way, MOSTLY because you're running every which way, falling down on your ass, like this short police officer, yelling at every Black teen to either put their face on the grass.
The only time a gun is pulled is when you MEAN TO USE IT ON SOMEONE WHO HAS THREATENED you or your partners.
