It it said..."cambodian planted the rice, Laotian watch the rice, vietnam HARVEST the rice". How true is this statement?

Well, if there's any doubt....maybe this article will change your mind otherwise.


It looks like Laos' leaders are too BUSY killing their own citizens for crumbs from CHINA. Oh well, the world goes on leaving Laos behind in the dust like always. One troll of government after another ...That's the way of the Laotian people! SAD!!!

What this is saying is that ---- its early 1900 communist ideologies notwithstanding --- Vietnam truly does have a long-term blue print; and that long term blue print is to slowly pivot towards the West, away from its giant and former Communist ally, China.

Vietnam is fast approaching the 100M population mark, and it knows it must rely on its citizens, like the experience of the South Koreans of the last 60 years, in getting its economy going.

And the most important ingredient Vietnam's leaders know they must have is TECHNOLOGY, in general, and computational activities, in specific. And Vietnam has already established itself as a fast-growing hub in the computer technology field.

When the world's population is approaching 8B, with raw materials dwindling, it is HUMAN BRAIN POWER that will make or break nations: if you are able to educate your citizens in TECHICAL FIELDS, you will come out on top. If not, you will serve, at best, as laborers, trash collectors, warehouses, and empty Pepsi and Coke bottle lands, left by tourists...
