Reading this Article makes me feel proud to be a Lao since the first group of women that will be attending this U.S Army Ranger School in a very near future happen to have a young Lao American Woman who is SELECTED and INVITED by her command to attend the Ranger School in Fort Benning, GA. It makes me very proud to be a Lao and happy for her. However, I am also concerned since historically a large numbers of students (MEN) that went through this Army Ranger School were NOT successes and got dropped out of school prior to graduation. I HOPE that this young Lao Woman will make it through the Training. A sample of Ranger Training are at link below:

Nevertheless, this young Lao woman who is selected to train to be an Army Ranger has a very good background in physical and mental capability. She was born and grown up in Minnesota and the only child in the family. During her time in college, she played Soccer for Troy State University and a Martial Art Black Belt. Prior to joining the Army, she was an amateur boxer and she never lost a fight as an amateur, but to step up to be a professional , her parents objected her to be a professional fighter, she therefore decided to join the Army after her parents were NOT allowed to be a professional fighter especially her mother. Some of the readers, may wonder why I do NOT reveal her identity. The reason is for" Special Ops" protocol--I have to keep it this way. However, I will let you know after she goes through the training and if she graduates and receives the honor to wear a Ranger Tab or not. GO LAO WOMEN! HOOAH!.
Love and kisses
