We all knew by now how much Bitcoin sky rocketed in recent weeks. Not chasing golden goose here but just to comment on the subject of crypto currency in general and why Laos should have crypto currency.
Recently I made a comment about Estonia, a tiny country that went digital countrywide less than 3 decades ago, which today is a prosperous country in europe. Laos can be same in that regard if she learned from Estonia.
My prediction is that in the next five years major countries in the world will have crypto currency. If Laos jump into band wagon this year it will have that head start. Lao leaders should not sit on their hands and watch greatest opportunity passing by. Adopting crypto currency does not mean Laos has to forgo the paper currency. Both can co-exist. Cryto currency on the other hand use for international trading and to pay civil servants who opted in. It will weed out corruption. The convenience of using crypto currency will bring in more tourist and more businesses to Laos.
Any opinion on this subject?
